That's debatable.

Regardless that match included one of the top 3-4 wrestlers of all time....so yea it was good.

ETA HBK v Hart Ironman was better....but it included one of the top 2-3 wrestlers of all time as well.

..yet unfortunately his match with Shawn at 14 didn't even come close. Given shawn was supposedly injured and his smile was on the verge of being lost again. Don't get me wrong, shawn is great and I consider him one of the best.

I wish he would have had a better rivalry with Foley when mankind was still a psycho

I wish more guys had been involved with vince at that time. Mr Perfect, Rick Rude. Wish Brian Pillman had lived.

It created the persona of the "toughest SOB in the wwf", launched Austin's face turn and Harts heel turn.

Was visually amazing and was daring, as these kinds of matches were still not happening like they would soon after. This match changed the whole tone of the business. So yeah..i put it at 1 in the top 3.

Growing up I loved mid south wrestling.

All Mid-South shows are on youtube.

And I was in attendance at the Centroplex when so-called "blind" JYD was chained to Michael Hayes.

Good times back then. $6 general admission

My great grandfather used to go to shows in Houma. He hated Cornette.

My brother and I loved all wrestling - when we were kids we lived in the rio grande valley in south Texas - we saw a lot of wrestling matches - not many fans at some matches - I remember seeing Ric Flair so close up - I was too afraid to shake his hand - but my brother did

One night after a huge match, we were on our way home and stopped at circle k for snacks (hour ride home) and Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty held the door open for my dad (who walked with crutches bc he had had polio in the 50s) - and they asked him if he needed help carrying stuff

My brother and I ran back to the truck for the program and a pen and they were more than happy enough to sign it - my brother and I talked about that at school for weeks

Unfortunately we lost those autographs 15 years ago today

Wow, I hadn’t thought about JYD when he was "Blind" in years, He and Hacksaw were my heroes and I went crazy as a kid when they became a tag team partners, those were the days!
