Not really a weird name. The pronunciation is dumb, but I guarantee after everyone says "Tare-ence," they'll just go with the common way of saying it.

Van Gammon

Is this that strange? Unless they insist on calling him "Van Gammon" every time. Van is a normal name. I think it's kinda cool that the full name would honor a family name.

Now what I really don't get is parents who just misspell their kids' names: Paytyn, Devyn, Tarrinse, Blayk, Richee.

The idiots think they are naming a pet and give no thought to the fact that the kid has to live with the name.

The names that Scruffy hates the most are the -aidens.

Braiden
Kaiden
Laiden
Jaiden
Aiden
Taiden
Xaiden

There are so many of those shite names out there now.

White people are absolutely the worst with baby names, but funny enough, Scruffy is seeing these names pop up among other races more frequently now.

You: “I named my child after a nutria.”

My wife is Irish so my two girls have traditional Irish names. Not that common, but easy to pronounce

It's from the Onion.

I didn't look close enough and I thought the source was on the graphic.

I hate when people do the normal mame but have a “cute” way of spelling it. They don’t think about the fact that no one will ever spell their kids name right, and the kid will have to correct everyone on it their entire life. Ex. Baileeigh.
The same thing with the normal spelling with a weird pronunciation. It is funny when the parents get mad and try to correct people over someone pronouncing the name the way it sounds though.
