The biggest question is why do black people own pit bulls yet when they see a friendly golden retriever in my pickup they avoid it like the plague like it’s going to bite them

If you had titled this "Why do some people wait until rush hour to take their dog to the dog park?", I'd be right their with you.
I'm surprised someone (and their dog) hasn't been t-boned into oblivion on South Harrell's Ferry trying to cut across stopped traffic to get to that one. A near-miss happens there daily.

It gets me, and that is exactly why I do not want a dog.
Why would I want that financial responsibility and that amount of an emotional commitment for such a short term relationship with an animal?
I’m doing just fine with my human relationships and assets that don’t depreciate. There are voids in my life that a dog could possibly fill.
