A Google search yielded several scholarly studies on why this is the case. I do t think you’ll get the answer on this board, but rather in those studies. I scanned a few of them and the answer seems to be a combination of factors.

It always tickles me to hear folks holding forth on the virtue of making good decisions and what not and, almost in the same breath, bragging about how they were "poor" when they were kids and how themselves and their spouse "struggled" when they were starting a family. If a person was poor when they were a kid the parents were guilty of making bad decisions, if the same person struggled financially when young and starting a family they too made some bad decisions. Most people do indeed make that decision because fricking is as fundamental to the survival instinct of man as it is to a deer in the rut....but its special to listen to folks pretending otherwise. Bless their hearts....

There are books written about men on the down low. Its a real thing. Black men that identify as a straight man cruise for gay sex. They do not disclose their sexual relationships they have with men with their female partners. Thus the spread of aids.
And like i said, it goes back to the Kangz shite. They need to display their masculinity, and fricking other men would dampen that.
Even the cdc concludes that men who have sex with men and women is the main spread of aids in women.
