It's a terrible situation
Honestly, I just can't understand why people want to trash where they live.
I'd be all for enforceable camera littering tickets.

It’s Folsom that is the arm out of St Tammany. Full of half breeds who think the civil war is still going on.

You’re so superior to 99% of this board! So well traveled

I travel the south pretty much all day, every day for work and I can say that Louisiana is the dirtiest state...and it is not even really close. Damn shame, really...

I agree with Louisiana trash problem. I spent one week and put 1200 Miles on a rental in Colorado. In that time I could have put the trash on side the road I saw In a grocery bag. Needless to say most of it came
From Colorado Springs and there was a definite “culta” change.
Besides that I believe people in other places take pride in the beauty of their location, for whatever reason it doesn’t happen here.

Your insecurity just dripped from your post through my phone and made it all slippery

What state would come in second? Just curious

People don’t care. Travel to other states and I guarantee you will see inmates on the side the road cleaning up trash daily. Louisiana they do it once a year

It's embarrassing how people in this state continue to litter up every inch of our roadsides.

And we have the highest incarceration rate in the US

The Mississippi Delta area has a lot of trash as well. Also, alabama has a good bit of litter, but it seems to be concentrated in the populated areas of alabama, whereas Mississippi and Louisiana have trash even in areas where there are no people.
I would say that the only reason Mississippi is cleaner than la is that they put more effort into cleanup and mowing of highway rights of way.

Trashy coonass ancesters raised trashy coonass kids.

I always say that if Louisiana had the people Mississippi has running their state, Louisiana would be so much better off. Mississippi government is very well-ran IMO. But, they are a very low populated state as well.
If LA had actual leaders, they’d be more like Georgia or South Carolina as far as states that have their shite together go.

You could literally replace the word coonass with white trash, ghetto blacks, river rats, Yats or entitled rich people and get the SAME EXACT results. Don’t blame this on the coonasses. The only difference in them and the rest of the people is the way they speak.

Being poor is not an excuse to litter. I’ve known plenty of poor people over the years who kept a clean house. You go into an elderly poor black couples house and it’s tidy and clean as hell. Littering is not much less worse than child molesters and murderers. It’s not as bad obviously, but it ain’t far off. My take on it is if you are ok with throwing trash on the road you are probably ok with committing even worse offenses.

people passing through that throw their McDonald’s bags out the window. fricking rich educated people don’t give a frick about anything or anyone. Then they blame it on poors.
Ummm.... rich people aren’t eating at McDonald’s. In the unusual circumstance that they are forced to grab a McMuffin, they’re not throwing the bag out the window of their G-wagon.
