I'm more worried about the crooked and corrupt authorities than I am of the thugs in NOLA. It's the only reason I wouldn't move back.

I'm actually considering moving from BR to NOLA at the moment. Crime stories like this are the one thing that's giving me pause.

I have lived here my whole adult life .. I have NEVER been a victim of ANY crime in Nola and do not personally know anybody that has..

Comparing the city-data.com numbers, NOLA is way worse than Alexandria in murders, rapes, assaults, & auto thefts.
Alexandria is way worse in terms of thefts, robberies, and burglaries.
