Real or fake, Will Smith takes a major L tonight.
If fake, why would he agree to something like this at this point in his career? Especially tonight.
If real and he was truly defending his wife's honor, why did he slap him and not actually punch him? And why is he acting all hard yelling profanities after the fact he just slapped another man in the face?
Smith is either faking one for the Oscar team or just an immature douche.

Honestly if im Chris i leave Jada out of future jokes and just focus everything on Will and eviscerate him.

My neighbor is swearing to me that it was real and I'm like, "Ok, a few things. 1. A nationally broadcast show and this guy is going to get out of his chair and walk on stage and slug the host when it will be documented on video along with a nationwide audience of witnesses.
2. He's going to do it after he's clearly seen laughing at the joke.
3. To my knowledge, he has no prior history of just losing his cool and walking up and punching people because he's angry.
4. If he/Jada were that upset or bothered, he could've easily talked to Chris Rock backstage during a commercial break.
I don't buy it at all but my neighbor is swearing it was real.

I said the exact same thing. None of it adds up.
And I like Will Smith but this really made him look bad. Either way. Fake or not.

Exactly what I was thinking.
There could've been a better way to talk to Chris, if Will and Jada were that upset about the joke in the first place. I mean Will is clearly seen laughing about it.
So if he's that upset about it, why laugh? Why not stand up right then and say, "hold on now....." he even stayed seated while he was laughing.
