I mean c’mon it’s 38 degrees here right now. Someone has a station in my hood and I do t joe how it’s set up. We are getting e ne winds so maybe cold air is pumping in but 9 inches is preposterous

Cold air meets the gulf stream is one of the best parts of winter.

Is anyone here around Little Rock? It looks like y'all are getting pummeled if it's made the transition to snow.

I’m in Greenville SC. Would far prefer any amount of snow to ice. Would be nice if the power stays on.

Let the guys selling VCRs at Wal Mart have a 5 minute break to look at the snow

I got a shite ton of wood to burn and all the appropriate clothing for the family. Bring it. Also beer and whisky.

I seem to remember some comments like this about a week before mid-February last year. Folks making fun of a 7-day GFS model.
How did that work out in TX and LA?
The overall pattern we are in sets up for a rouge shortwave/upper low to make havoc at any time over the next couple of weeks.

To be fair, the discounting is stuff more like 2+ weeks out but overall Im with you. The synoptic set up is what you want for cold and snow potential in the east and southeast. At least through the end of the month.
