They tried to warn here
Nowhere does the article say that.

She could own a deer raised from non wild deer. Those are chipped and tracked. Wild deer are owned by the state, and she can not take or own, but she can kill during set hunting seasons

So she stole from the government?

This is silly. Just confiscate the deer and send her on her way. It says she got upset but nothing about actually hitting an officer. Charges in this case are unnecessary.

but on what planet is she going to be able to care for a full blown deer?
Well there are people that care for lions, tigers, bear, bulls, whales, dolphins, elephants...
Why not a deer?

Wonderful example of stupid wasteful overpowered government.

Well now the deer has to be cared for $$ or it needs to be put down. She should be forced to provide deer support

This reminds me of the guy in Yellowstone last winter that put a young bison in his vehicle because it "looked cold". The NPS wardens had to euthanize the animal because the herd wouldn't take the calf back.

This thread is so full of dumbfrick.
It's illegal to posses a fawn for the deer's sake not the humans. The government 100% should be enforcing this law, because people obviously still don't realize the best thing they can do for a wild animal is leave it the frick alone.
The fawn will now be euthanized because this count thought it would make a cute pet and "rescued it" even though it's mother was probably watching and waiting for the cars to pass.

I'm pretty sure she was arrested for being stupid. You don't put a deer on a leash.
Obviously. She should've used a stroller.

She should've said it was her service deer.

I don't see this as a warning. They told her about the law, which meant her pet deer would be confiscated, and she became upset.
