Car manufacturers have been living way past their means for some time off of increasingly long finance terms and for way too expensive cars/pickups no one wants.
There's only so long you can do that before the bubble bursts and you kill demand.

I bought a truck Feb 2021 for $41k. Nice loaded out 21 Ram 1500 Crew Laramie. That same truck in the 23 version is $75k MSRP. I keep getting emails from the stealership telling me they’ll pay full KBB for me to upgrade to a 2023 model, frick that
