quote:Apollo 13 says hello. There's nothing up there but a bunch of damn rocks. Why keep spending billions and risking lives going back?
But in the 1960’s - we just shot right up there (six times in a row) without a hiccup?

The only reason I believe it happened is the Russians/Chinese haven’t proven otherwise. If we didn’t go, they would absolutely have shown us

debunking the no landing theories
Ironically it was posted 5 days ago by a Brit...OT reach is vast

Since the moon shots we have landed a robot on an asteroid and landed robots on Mars, etc. We have significantly advanced tech. The wild card is being sure that the humans will survive.
We haven’t regressed technologically, we have become more risk averse when actual people are involved.
Great answer, robotics, comms and remote sensor technology are orders of magnitude above the Apollo days.
It's expensive to keep humans alive in space, or the deep ocean, at times unacceptably dangerous as well.

There's reasonable value in pointing out who are the dumbest amongst us and who shouldn't be taken seriously, ever.

And Elon Musk and NASA are spending billions to get us back in the next couple of years == Two totally different launch vehicles and support systems. Tens of thousands of individuals involved.
These idiots think they are both doing all this to fool us AGAIN?

The moon stuff is easily debunkable. All you have to do is look up the LRR experiments left behind on the surface. They are still in use today and can only be explained by us landing and placing them there
“The LRR (Laser Ranging Retroreflector) experiment is a groundbreaking, ongoing scientific effort using mirror arrays left on the Moon by Apollo missions (and Soviet Lunokhod rovers) to precisely measure the Earth-Moon distance by bouncing powerful lasers off them and timing the return signal. This incredibly precise measurement (down to millimeters) allows scientists to study lunar orbit, Earth's rotation, continental drift, and test Einstein's theory of relativity, confirming the Moon is receding from Earth at about 3.8 cm per year, with data still being collected today. ”

Agreed. But these loons have a dumb arse response to anything you present to them.
They really aren’t worth the trouble however they are amusing.
It’s just another attempt to drive a wedge between people and to de couple the really low intelligence people from another one of the greatest feats of all mankind that was performed by the United States of America.
