Sign of the times I guess. Those usually go for about $5K in good shape. Oddly enough a colleague of mine has one about that age as their second car. It just keeps running. Never seems to die. Probably the most surprising aspect of that car because the interior looks like it's been to hell and back.

I hope you didn't pay any interest on the credit card for it.

Used cars are up about 40%

So that sounds about right

Same. $5400 at the moment, the $4200 from Feb will be paid in 2 weeks.

The Mrs does the same with hers.

I can't own credit cards.

I finished 2 bankruptcies over 5yrs.

Maybe now that I'm sober, I can work on my credit.

At first I was going to respond "WTF?".

Then I noticed we spend about $75, and feed our lab a lot of what our toddler refuses to eat.

$200. Pay it off every month. My limits only $3250. Don’t think the balance was ever over $1k.

$0. I have no credit cards.

I have a debit card for emergencies and unplanned expenses (like a doctor visit), a prepaid card for all online purchases, and cash. If there's something I need to order online, I put cash on the prepaid card. Yes, I pay $3 to add cash to the card, but I have zero credit card debt and can only spend money that I have. Works for me. You gotta find what works for you, not everyone is the same.

I get 6% back on all groceries or gift cards I buy at the grocery store and 3% back on all gas with the Blue Cash Preferred Card

On my business card I get 4% back on all my phone lines, cable, internet, etc and another category I choose. Not to mention it insures fully all the cell phones on it so I just walk in and get a new 1000 dollar phone if one is dropped. Stuff like that.

You are just tossing away money if you can pay your bills

These prices are already factored in. Use them.

I have a diff card i use for the 3% on gas and its the only one i use now.

I do have the same amex but i cant bring myself to use it because they are a bunch of woke assholes. i just leave it open because it helps my credit to have that line open i never use.
