I'm grandfathered in at 10 dollars a month for no adds - EVER. Great to play in the car. Have dozens of playlists. Can get a lot of music on YouTube you can't get anywhere else. Plus, non stop videos, if I want to watch on my TV, computer. Great deal. Can download songs/videos, too. Since you can get covers and very rare cuts, I like it a lot. I'm an old DJ. Got it when it first came out. Enjoy it a lot to this day.

The original days of youtube were really quite extraordinary. Now, while I am very much addicted to youtube, they definitely aren't the same as they were.

I use YouTube when trying to learn a certain song on acoustic guitar. Usually the only add is before the video starts. Other than that, I stay off that platform.
Like everything else, they have gone to shite over the years.

Turns out hosting all that data isn’t cheap.

There is no form of media that has ever been created that was not inundated with corporate sponsorship and influence almost immediately.

90% of ads you can skip after 5 seconds. Once in a while you’ll get a 15 second ad that you can’t skip. A 10 minute video usually has about 10 seconds in ads, sometimes 20-25 seconds. I don’t see the big deal. It’s free.
