well, you did insult our intelligence w/ the original post.

let me put this economic terms for you -- BP is going to come out of this several billion dollars lighter.

drilling a single replacement well over the course of ~100 days would cost $100 million. now, why would BP choose to go in the hole several billion vs. spend less than 1/10 of that?
