It was. 99% sure it was Geoff. That whole family is from upstate New York (Chemung maybe) and got really involved with the training center in Lake Placid. Used NASCAR aerodynamic principles to overhaul the sled design. I think they called it a Bodyne or Bo-Dyne sled. Vaulted the US into the upper echelon for a time until other countries caught up.

They spend money on it and they have like 5 tracks to train on.

Germans are superior engineers and their drivers in both bobsled and Motorsport are excellent given a clean track.
Their Panzerkommandants were badass in WW2 until they ran out of gas.
