My next one may be a 250
I just bought a used bumper pull camper. My 150 will be OK with it but if we ever want to move up to a 5th wheel, it'd be nice to have the truck already

You can still get the KR without the chrome tailgate. So I'm sure the 250 will be the same.

Spoke with my neighbor this am, he's got a EcoBust prob 2011-ish model, said it suck arse, no power, been in the shop a lot, will smother if you gas it too hard, etc. Gimmick, get the BIG F-ing V8 no matter your choice.
ive got 83k miles in 2.5 years. al beit i am in a Taurus SHO, but it has the same eco-boost engine. car still flies and ive had NO issues whatsoever. change oil every 7500 or so. would have no problem getting this engine again, but it would be in an F-150

Thing is I like the chrome package, you get easier to clean wheels, easier to clean mirrors (bugs) and I think it looks better. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Never know, maybe next time around I'll finally downsize.

Dealer bought em back.
what kind of prices are they buying them back for? I just got a new truck yesterday and I am thinking about putting bigger tires on it and I have never traded in tires before.

A little over 200k I believe.

I sold the tires off my 2005 Dodge back to a tire shop in Denham. I believe that he gave me $150 each. Less than retail, but worth not having to sell them myself.
This has been 10 years ago, but that's what I remember.

Anyone know which tire places in BR that will do this? Dealer I bought the truck from said they don't do it.

Call Skidmarks on Coursey, they may do it. I've always gotten great service and prices from them as well.

Any reports on the cost of maintenance on the turbo engines vs the V8s?
I put lots of miles on a truck before I trade and I am concerned that replacing a turbo charger or something will eat up any savings I get on gas.

I hate the Auto start feature. I usually disable it when I start the truck. If your AC is on MAX, it usually wont shut down the engine.

is it just me or does the tan interior look the best? and its not even an option on the KR and Platinum.
a loaded Lariat with the tan interior is looking good.

I've always thought the tan looked the best on the Fords. I'll surely never have a black interior again

i have black now and think it looks great and has the best long term look, but it can get hot. that tan looks damn good though.

I got my 2015 in June and I love it. Gas mileage is avg 24 hwy and 17 towing.
It steers better than 2013 and like locking tailgate with remote keyless entry.

F-150 Plat owners. i am very close to pulling the trigger on one of these, but am having a hard time convincing myself its ok to spend this type of money on a truck.
what are your thoughts on the truck? any changes you would have made? have you considered anything different?
i will not go without the creature comforts i've come to love (remote start, heated steering wheel, heated/ac seats, so i want the things that come with the high end truck. but my car was substantially cheaper and had all of those things.
Ftr - work is buying the truck. I wouldn't buy something like that personally.

Johnny, does the tailgate lock with the fob now?
Posted on 8/17/15 at 10:07 pm to donRANDOMnumbers
I personally enjoy mine, and how much you spend on the truck is relative. For me, the percentage of take home compared to the amount of time spent in the vehicle is worth it. Since your work is paying for it, is there any downside? You can get all of those features in the lariat by the way. You're essentially getting the appearance, power steps, massaging seats, interior upgrades, etc but the features you want are available for roughly 5k less in the 502a lariat.
Vette - Yeah it locks with the doors and can be dropped with a keyfob button now.

This is mine that I bought a few weeks ago. '15 XLT sport with 3.5 eco and FX4 pkg. Traded in my '12 FX4 and think it rides better with a quieter interior. I wanted a lariat but couldnt pass the deal up on the XLT. Drove to Houston and got $12500 off sticker.
Man I really like that one. Pretty much what I would be looking for... Could you share the sticker price? What dealer in Houston?
