PSA has a G19 gen 5 (no optics cut) and 500 rounds of Blazer 124 gr ammo for $540. That's a hell of a deal for someone looking for a first carry piece and enough range ammo to break it in.

Where do you all typically buy your ammo?

Academy or Basspro. Online I often buy from 2A Warehouse, for cheap target ammo.

Less "stopping power" compared to 9mm

The 10MM has almost twice the ft lbs muzzle energy of a 9mm. Some 10mm loads are very similar to the 40 S&W. The 10MM was designed to be a .357 like round in an auto. It was developed for the FBI out of the 1986 Shootout in Miami. During testing the FBI training team asked that it be weaker a bit because of control issues with some of their agents. You can easily get 800 ft lbs of energy out of a 10mm 180 gr.

Ordered Sunday night from PSA, in hand by lunch Wednesday. Nice. Also, I had no idea it came with the soft case, so nice bonus.

So the FBI went back in time 3 years to get a cartridge developed to change the outcome of the shootout?

Here's a link that is filtered for 10MM that you can sift through. Find one you like, get the UPC and search it on that site to see if goes on sale in your price range. Or create an account there, and set alerts for certain UPCs for when a price drops

What's better 10mm or 9mm?

ETA: Which one is better suppressed?

10mm is the best mm.

Actually, it really just depends on what you're wanting to do with it. Most 10mm are fairly large and heavy. You won't be concealing one easily.
10mm has significantly more recoil than the 9mm so any follow up will be slower as you have to reacquire your target.

The 10mm will carry much more energy.
I'm sure it can be done but would be hard to make the 10mm subsonic whereas the 9mm is subsonic with 147gr bullets.

If you need a gun in the woods because you are scared of running up on a bear then 10mm would be better.

A concealable 9mm is much lighter and easier to carry for running into a store or whatever else you would want to carry with you.

Most are loaded to sub standard. Buffalo Bore, Grizzley and Underwood load them correctly.

You should be able to get 1200 -1250 ft/sec out of a 200 grain.

I have the Springfield XDM elite which evidently has one of the better reps regarding the ability to fire all available ammo reliably.

The Springfield also handles 40cal flawlessly, if you want to knock it down a notch.

The 9mm is the one I need!

If anyone sees the VP9 or USP9 tactical on sale, post it here with the quickness
