Best red dot for .22 WMR

I have a Savage 93G .22 WMR that I use for scouting in Bayou Cocodrie NWR and Cat Island NWR, mostly to shoot pigs but would like it to be accurate enough for a squirrel. Thinking 1-2 MOA, but should I get any magnification? My vision has gotten to the point that the iron sights are not helpful. Not interested in a rimfire scope, as I already have one on my .17 HMR and it’s difficult to acquire the target quickly.
Any brand and model suggestions would be appreciated.
Should I have posted this on the over 50 board?

I'd go with an LPVO with a lit reticle over a red dot if you're thinking of squirrel hunting with it. At 1x with an LPVO the target acquisition is really quick plus you can up the magnification on longer shots.

I wanted a red dot but also wanted magnification to be able to shoot 100 yards or so, so I went with a LPVO with an illuminated reticle.

I have several red dots but run a Bushnell on my 22mag semi. I have a Sig magnifier that bounces around on different guns/red dots 22mag included. I would imagine a dot/magnifier would perform well for you.
I have this on a 300blk currently it's my oldest red dot it's been on everything I have a one point or another. It's rugged & reliable AF.
Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 Red Dot Sight - 1x20mm $79.99 Cabelas

I have the Bushnell Tac Optics Mini Canon on the 22mag it's no longer available/discontinued.
Couple Sig dots on other stuff.

I have red dot's and I like them but my issue is that I have an astigmatism. On pistols, it isn't an issue but on a rifle, past 25yds, it's a problem. The 2.5 MOA dot looks like a 6 MOA dot.
If you are thinking about a red dot and a magnifier, a 1-6 LPVO scope would be very close to the same price. You can also get them with illuminated reticles.

I have an astigmatism too. I wonder if that is why I have so much trouble w target acquisition w the rimfire scope on my .17 HMR? Guess I should just go to Jim’s or Bowie and actually look thru some of these sights.
