Nothing to be upset about when your camp that you paid monthly fees on was in the dead center of the "DO NOT FISH" zone.

judging by the demographics of this board, these people are massive hypocrites
I think its a combination of trolling and coonasses. ive never seen a coonass that didn't want all the free shite they could get their hands on.

They did the damage and put the money aside for this, so I'm a horrible person for taking it?
horrible person? no
it makes you a bit of a free loader though
it would be like me taking money from the government after Katrina because I couldn't go to NOLA during the months after the hurricane

I'm pretty sure he said his camp was in the middle of a no fish zone. And the extent of compensation should be his fees/taxes on the property while it was in a no fish zone.
It's not hard. Don't be a worthless leeching POS and we won't need to discuss outlier cases and derail the thread from those who were inconvieneced and would take $20,000 if it was offered.

I wasn't going to be the one to say it first, but plenty of coonasses piss me off.

Every coonass ive ever worked with the moment they found out I hunt and fish has asked me if im gonna bring them some fish or squirrels

The zone lines aren't all-encompassing. Plenty of camps were left out, even in Grand Isle.

We have a camp that we didn't go to that entire year because they closed the launch for all BP personnel. We never asked for a dime from them or ever made any kind of claim. They want to compensate by giving us (the recreational fisherman) a check, it wont hurt my feelings on what kind of person anyone thinks I am.

Don't get me started on frogs.

If I were to take a check, I would sleep just fine knowing that DownShiftandStoreIt is angry with me.

Ok, So your an average fisherman who just so happens to own a camp in the affected area. On average you make 3 fishing trips a month.
or
Your an above average fisherman who fished the exact same area but 6 times a month. Does not own a camp.
Which one do you feel deserves a payment?
