Not fun in anything less that 36 ft and even then it's still tough

I was planning on heading down this evening, but I got swamped today at work. I'm just going to take my time tomorrow and get everything ready for Saturday. I can already taste that beer I'm going to have tomorrow afternoon.

Good tides too. 6 am and a 12 noon bite my trip advisor says, 4 tides.

According to the wind speeds given on the national buoy data site the winds are really dropping off to almost nothing. Seems to be around a 4-5 ft significant wave height on the ones reporting. Hopefully it will calm down out there for the weekend as i am trying to get a snapper trip on saturday.

Waves are being pushed in by andrea. Got to wait for it to make landfall before a decrease in wave height.

Should be inland by tonight so that gives it a few day and half to settle down but i believe there is a front coming down so that might be problematic as well. NOAA really fricks the sportfisherman with that 28 day snapper season. Out of 28 days most fisherman are lucky to get 5 or 6 days of fishing. Lost of fuzzy math going on in washington

I think this front is going to clear it all out. Just hope the wind will lay.

Ended up being calm as hell in the marsh today. Really got into the reds and the lone speck. Artie's until the feast

What are y'all's preferred forecast websites?

I get NOAA and buoy information from Wunderground but also look at wind forecasts on Intellicast. I'm trying to figure out if going overnight Saturday night out of Venice is going to be good.
