submitted warranty and got notice this morning that it was approved. Did not have the exact same pair available but same frames with blue 580G instead of green which I am fine with. Got prepaid shipping label to return old pair and a tracking number which i am not sure if the tracking number is track my old pair going back or the new pair coming in.

Does anyone know if they wait to ship the new pair until the old pair gets to them or do they send em on right away? Would like to hang on to the old pair until new pair shows up but that may not be possible....NOT trying to keep both will for sure send the old ones back but my spare pair has a cracked lens so i would rather not wear those for weeks if I dont have too. Have other cheapo pairs of course that are ok for the yard or whatever but they dont do the job of 12 hours on the boat.

They had me ship mine back before they would give me the code to order the new ones. Once my package was trackable with the tracking number; they sent me the purchase code. After my claim they just gave me a code to buy whichever pair I wanted rather than them picking a new pair for me.

yea I have them packed up bout to drop em at UPS here shortly. Mine said they were no longer available(saltbreak tortoise frame with green mirror 580G) and had a list of options to choose from to replace but they were all saltbreaks just differnt frames and lens colors/lens. Choices were white frames with green 580P, black with blue 580G and P and green 580P, and a frame they are calling havana which looks like the tortoise but cant really find it in a close up picture in blue 580G(the ones I chose) and P, and green 580P. Almost went with the plastic due to weight but got to converned with clarity and scratching.

Twenty 49 - I would say your chances are good. Go online and upload pics with the information as you described. Bump thread later and let us know how it goes. Good luck!!!!!

I just uploaded pics and submitted a claim. Mine are rimless Cayan model. Both lenses cracked where the nosepiece connects.

I will be "notified within 5 business days of the outcome of your service request and next steps."

Costa repair questions
I submitted a claim for my 580G last Thursday. My rubber pieces were all falling off. They just sent me an email telling me to pic out a free new pair.

Good to hear. The exact same thing happened to mine.

Received a reply on Saturday, the day after I submitted my case:

We apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced.

Your request has been evaluated and is covered under warranty.

Your current model is discontinued/no longer available; however, we are able to offer you a comparable alternative option at the retail value of your eyewear.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, click on “View offer” and follow the steps.

The offer will be valid for 2 days from the date of the email.

***

They gave me a choice of the same model in either blue mirror or grey. I have other glasses in grey, so I went with blue mirror.

I hate they are making me return the cracked copper lens ones. I would have crippled along with them until they fell apart.

I sent in a pair of 8 year old hammerhead because the black was coming off the frames and I had a cracked lens. They sent me a new pair but the lenses are black plastic instead of blue glass. Still not bad.

Update on mine....new ones got here today. Didn’t cost a cent. All rubber was gone and a cracked lens. They never mentioned the lens just that the rubber was under warranty. Took I think 3 weeks maybe from putting info into system to getting new pair.

So if you have a fresh pair of frames and a cracked lense you should rip the rubber off the frame and hope they get you a new pair.

Should have tried that myself.

Awesome what the hell, I thought MJ had great warranty service? I literally just bought a pair over Costa bc of it.

Looks like I may be returning the MJ for the Costas

My frames broke in half recently. Sent them in and had new ones in less than 2 weeks

I'm almost starting to believe it's one of those situations where it just depends on what mood the worker is in when they take in your request.
I've dealt with 4 returns in the last 6 months and they were different.
