Yes it’s in The southern part of the black belt. We’re also around the corner or Dale and Barbour. I’ve killed two great bucks in 4 days, but have seen 2 deer. Not unhappy, just find it way different than anywhere I’ve hunted before.

Buddy of mine has an awesome place on lake eufala. Been several years since I've went, but we always saw and killed good deer.

Your best luck will probably be in Oct when the acorns fall. AL deer will hide in thickets after that. If you can get between a thicket and water source, you will have some luck.
