We had a log trailer with a broken axle left for two years, wasn’t really bothering us, but when we finally called they sent the loggers to come get it. Weyerhaeuser had no idea it was there until we said something. Their employees may never set foot on a property depending on how much of the operation is being contracted out, but when I’ve dealt with them they’ve been pretty reasonable.

If there are locals in that area that know it is weyerhauser, they are 100% trespassing on it when you are not there.

Weyerhauser doesn't give a shite either because they are not liable for anyone that goes on their land. We complained to them all the time about it but they never did squat. Pretty annoying

This is what you need. When Mr James was alive he controlled that part. I think
his daughter and son in law handle it all now. He had maps on his desk and gave them to you to find what you like. He had no idea where most of the property he owned was located. My dad and
I leased from him years ago.

They’re sure welcome to try

We have cell cameras on every access road and the sheriff’s number saved. Never been an issue in 15 years except for some community college kids drinking beer on the side of the road one night.

This is 100% false. They maintain insurance for any hunter who will be on the property. You should have called the law if someone was trespassing, not an office lady.

I mean if the local sheriff is refusing to enforce trespassing laws cause they’re his kin, that’s not Weyerhaeuser’s fault or a problem on the vast majority of the millions of acres they own. This shite isn’t that hard to handle if you have some common sense.

That’s the Harvey estate. At one time , they had thousands of acres in the Felicianas and SW Ms. Mr James Harvey was the brother that we dealt with but he passed away. He was just off Hwy 10 In Jackson, La. Base maps has his properties listed as JFH lands.

I dealt with John Jackson, IIRC, John was Leroy and James’s nephew.

I worked with Cory years ago when he did engineering work. We never had issues with Mr James when we had the property in Gloster that he owned. He was pretty hands off . He didn’t even know how much land he owned and where it was.

Weyerhaeuser probably hasn’t owned a piece of logging equipment in 30 years.

They know what they got. ;)

I know them personally but have never done business with them. Seems when there are lease or membership availabilities it’s the land’s fault and not the owner’s.
