Definitely a cab machine. I’ve been fortunate enough to hit several yellow jackets nests when doing dozer work. It’s a horrible feeling when you can’t get away and they keep coming. I’ll keep the dozer because it’s paid for but I wouldn’t buy another open cab.

love to hang up the rat race life and just be outside in a skid steer doing the simpler minded stuff. What size of bulldozer did you buy? What truck and trailer do yku use for your operation? I have a 3/4 ton dodge and ive hauled some 12k pound equipment. Its hard to get comfortable hauling that heavy with my set up. I use a 14k lb tilt deck to haul a telehandler and skid steer when I rent them. Braking is the biggest concern.

I bought an older, small Komastsu. It’s about 10k and is good for small brush, privet, and the like. I don’t fool with big stuff and folks know that. My excavator is around 11k and I bought a cutter for it. It’s handy for clearing around ponds , ditch banks , and up in the air. I use it a pretty good bit. More than likely we are going to go with the
Kubota SVL 97-3 track loader when we purchase . I’m hoping it’s a buy once , cry once kinda deal.
As far as towing, I had a 17 f250 with a trailer similar to yours. The tail would wag the dog when towing the mini ex. We upgraded to a 25 F450 and 35ft gooseneck last year. It’s overkill but it does the job and I feel safe with it.

I bought a bulldozer and excavator to do small land clearing jobs. I do it by word of mouth . This time of year I stay busy enough to make it worth my while. We are buying a skid steer/mulcher in a few weeks. I’ll do it a good bit more when I retire in 5 years.
Ben Holladay soft red wheat. Very smooth.

re: Tow vehicle for 5th wheel

The gas burners are no fun to tow with and that weight wouldn’t be ideal. I had a 2014 Chevy 2500 with the 6.0 and hated it for towing. They make their power at high RPM’s and stayed above 4k when towing. A diesel is more expensive but if you are buying a 5th wheel I wouldn’t cut corners trying to save a few dollars towing it. Buy once , cry once.
My wife has owns a homeschool business . She charges $400 a month per child.

We’ve had a 36ft 5th wheel since 2021. It weighs about 11k dry but loaded. I’ve towed it with my 2017 f250 the entire time we’ve owned it. I have the 6.7 powerstroke. I’ve had no issues with in all the trips we’ve taken. I added air bags after a few pulls and that’s helped with leveling it off. The longest trip we’ve taken was from SW Miss to Table Rock lake in Missouri. I took my time and didn’t have any issues. It handled it well. I recently bought a new Ford dually for my equipment but haven’t towed the camper with it yet.
Looks great. That’s what my son is going to do. He is going to start at Murray State university in 18 months. Not crazy about him being that far away but he’s going to do what he’s always wanted to do.

could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that’s what vines used to use. I have used vines blend that they sell and it’s very good.

Vines uses rebel seasoning. Rebel makes it for Ma Bells as well.

There’s a bait shop across from the mall in Natchez.

This….I’m 49 and had my left knee replaced on February 3, 2025. I too regretted it for the first month or so. It was terrible and the pain was constant. I had no strength and the ROM was not what I’d hoped .
I stuck with the PT and it started coming around. I’m 13 months out now and have zero pain. I do whatever I want and can get around better than ever.
I hope you have the same experience in the near future.

My wife has a 25 pilot Trailsport. It’s very similar to the passport. No complaints. We’ve enjoyed it and it rides great.

I’m pretty sure they did.

Lindsey’s was on north Sherwood Forest close to Greenwell Springs Rd.
I remember a water slide at the Gooney golf also.
Rebel butcher supply in Pearl. It’s right there by bass pro and the baseball stadium. They will have everything you need.

You can buy the rebel seasoning at Vines in mccomb if needed. The piggly wiggly in Summit/Liberty also carries it. They have hog casings also.
