It’s recommended by the manufacturer and takes less than 10 minutes.
If it prolongs the life of my engine… awesome.
If it doesn’t, it didn’t cost me very much.

On the way home after running boat in salt water, I stop by the fresh water boat launch back the trailer in and run the motor roughly 5 minutes. I feel better whether it makes a difference or not.

My motors have almost 6k hours on them. I flush with hose every time i put it on the trailer. Not sure if it helps, but takes 5 minutes.

Bump… I want to hear the identity of the 6k hr motors. My guess is Yamaha OX66
