Ryan is a good dude.... Or at least used to be. Dad had big money prior to Ryan going big time with wild game. Think his ol lady is from Crowley, grew up in the neighborhood with a good friend of mine.
That all being said... Those people saying they are rednecks is a bunch of bullshite and show. frickers went to STM and lived in Lafayette. They are closer to coonass than redneck, but I guess if your hanging with the robertsons you want to be redneck too with the money they are pulling in.

I went to lunch with my old roommate yesterday. He told me that the dad of one of his friends is one of the main characters on the show. Not sure which one it is though
ETA: His buddy is Joe Buck it appears. Real name is Joey

I wonder if they made the nicknames up for the show. Kinda lame if you ask me. Why are "reality" shows becoming so fake?

Nope and FWIW it's a "game ranch" with a 8 foot fence around the entire property!

Im happy for people that beat cancer. Im happy for people that work hard and succeed. Hell, i'll even be happy for "Big Bill" in his success, even if he got it by being crooked. Doesnt mean I cant think someone is a douche bag.

quote:Wrong. There are several thousand acres high fenced but the vast majority of the land is only high fenced on the highway side to prevent poachers. The deer are B&C eligible. You don't "pay" anything, its invite only hunts. They don't sell or guide hunts.
Yep - high fence, you pay a lot of money to kill something out there...

Ryan is a good dude

Lots of butthurt from neighboring landowners
quote:- most of the shite on TV is garbage. That being said I'm not a huge fan. Seems too scripted but could have potential...
No thanks. Show is garbage
If I had millions to blow I would build a mansion on a bunch of property too. Even IF it were 55k acres fenced, which it isn't, the vast majority of deer would die before ever seeing a fence. That's 85 square miles.... not exactly the typical 2000 acre high fence

I've "known" Joe(y) Buck for a long time.
He was posting on a Corvette site that I used to frequent.
Always seemed like a good fella.
