There you go. I carry the Case Trapper, that exact knife, plus the stag handle Trapper. Been carrying that style for over 50 years. Also have a few German Treebrands with the good solingen steel.

So is the "classic" vs. "tacticool" knife going to be the new Glock vs 1911 debate?

I hope so, but it looks like the classic team is seriously lacking troops at the moment.

I really liked the Endura, but I'm open to other ideas.

My EDC folder is a Cold Steel Voyager in my front pocket.
There are times when I carry one in my left pocket set up for left handed deployment.
Voyager, Large, Clip Point, Plain Edge.
Decent steel.
Sharp.
Good lock.
Inexpensive, so if I lose it, I don't get too worked up.

The only tacticool ones I would buy would be Emerson CQB ones or neck knives

Mr Chickman, order your knife from knifeworks. Usually get to the NO/BR area the next day

$2.00 out of a bucket at C-A-L Ranch supply in Rexburg, Idaho

Got a couple of them. They've been the handiest and most useful pocket knives I've ever had. Especially for $2 each.

I do second the notion about ordering from Knifeworks.
Roger has done well by me for years and years.
Good selection.
Decent prices.
I typically get the order next day via UPS Ground, or within two days by USPS.

Along with Cutlery Shoppe these guys are the best imho. Their prices are pretty much identical on most brands. Knifeworks is based in Louisiana and shipping is fast. Cutleryshoppe is in Idaho so shipping is a little slower (but they process and ship the order in one day most of the time), but if you use the code "nutnfancy" they offer free shipping.

I'm coming in town for Jazzfest this weekend and will let you check mine out. Pretty sure you have seen it, but it gets better with age

I think I have a mini-griptilian and a larger CRKT here too
