Opinel No.7
at around $12 bucks a pop I don't cry when/if I lose 'em.
Excellent carbon steel blade and very light.

I have had a $120 knife for 3yrs now and haven't lost it. To some people, it would be like losing your shoes
That knife looks like it would get broken after the first week of use. Who pulls the blade out with their fingernails nowadays?

Old Timer 3 blade jack knife. Goin on 5 years and prolly the 8th one I've carried. They don't sharpen as well as they used to, different steel, but I still like em.

My EDC knoves are 2 spydercos. A tacticool one and a stainless one. Also have a SOG that I use alot as well.
Id love to get a microtech though, like this:
I dont really get all the case/old timer love. Ive broken more than I care to remember.

I've recently went through this.....
I bought a benchmade mchenry/williams with the 30sv, but was too big. Sent it back and picked up a new model benchmade called the 300SN, its a flipper. Its a little heavy, but a decent size. I wouldn't want anything any bigger. I might pick up a griptillian with d2 a little way down the road.
I tried to stay away from the assisted models, if you don't mind assisted there are good knives to choose from... especially in benchmade. I kind of like the mini barrage with M390 steel...

I love this knife, and its damn near 4 inch blade. I don't mind the length, and it's lighter than the 300.

I hope so, but it looks like the classic team is seriously lacking troops at the moment.
I'm in with the classic team. My EC for the past 10 to 12 years is a Camillus Yellow Jacket 3-blade. Made in Merica, damn fine knives. I used to carry Cases but an older gentleman turned me onto the Camillus brand. They also make some fine looking "Tacticool" knifes.

It was hard to send it back..... The feel of that knife was nice.
For the OP, picked up mine off knifecenter. Pretty good prices and easy to deal with.

For all of those on Team Classic, Shepard Hills Cutlery is having a customer appreciation sale tomorrow. They will be offering a Case XX knife at 50% off. Don't know what they will be offering but may be worth a look.

I have a benchmade mini griptillian
Incredibly awesome knife. Not worth $100
My next one will be either the case or old timer I have in my drawer.
