Fire Ant Infestation under my garage freezer

I have a freezer that looks similar to this one below. Today I noticed a lot of ants near it, I think Fire ants. I shoved it off the wall in my garage and there are millions of them down there. I think they are there for the warmth of the compressor, but is there a way they are into the freezer by now? Do I need to empty this out and trash all the food? I put lots of powder under it which is usually effective in the yard.

I don’t think you have to worry about them in the freezer of the food. Think about it…it’s freezing in there.

Bifen spray til they're dead. IT or XTS will work, but XTS is oil based and will last longer. Might as well spray the interior and exterior of your garage while you're at it.

I have a rather creative friend outside Dallas with some means, and just yesterday we were talking about this. His wife was insistent that he could not get an ant eater. I think he should, and maybe i'll get one, too.

All I can think of is this:
