Dry Run Creek in Arky is the answer

Details please! Arkansas trout is on my bucket list. I have been fortunate to fish some of the west but Arkansas is half as far from Georgia!

Are you over 15? If so, I've got bad news for you. (Dry run creek is only open to anglers under 16.)

We stopped and fished it one year. The next year, when we asked the kid where he wanted to go on our cross country road trip, Dry Run Creek were the first words out of his mouth.

I've you've not fished Arky, GO. It's awesome. I've fished all over the west, and it's up there with all of them.

I have a 14 year old daughter...can I accompany her and when she is not doing it right show her how???? JUST KIDDING....

Its definitely on my bucket list...I have been blessed to be able to fish the west a bunch but Arkansas has always been a dream...like a lot of such dreams it seems so close that it can be put off until a more convenient time.

I expect that a BUNCH of people reading these forums will never make it to any spots divulged...but if they do they won't be going anywhere not well known and well visited. In the case of the Yakima unless its after September or before May there will be so many tubers and rafters on the river they will present far more hazards than the mild shoals and rapids present. But I take your point, I am keeping the good stuff close to the vest....

Lots of fun at DRC over the years. Nice campground across the road.
