Does anyone know how to charge the battery after it has gone all dead?

I head there as a way to reverse the polarity on the main battery and then switch it back, to allow the rest to charge.

Which would you prefer at a deer lease?
I have one of these - with maintenance free batteries. Mine is 48v, 2WD. Beast

Range for letting the kids drive around the neighborhood is 25 miles.

Just plug an extension cord into the onboard charger when you get through driving it (assuming you have power at the deer lease).

I have battery and like it. But if I was buying again, I’d prob consider gas a little more.

A. You can ride for days On a single tank
B. More torque for the beach, we take ours to grand isle and it struggles in loose sand.

The newer gas yammys are essentially silent, check em out.

Also I recommend smart carts in Bro bridge, best selection and prices I found.

Like others have said, make sure to check water and connections every month. I lost an entire set of batteries by neglecting, $700 lesson learnt.

I got a Yamaha electric and put a riot kit in it with lithium batteries.

Could not be happier. I’ve ridden in plenty gas carts and I’m definitely in the camp that likes lithium powered electric over gas in every way.

If you go electric, EZGO RXV. That is your only option. 48v.

I have a 2017 EZ-Go S4 in prisitine condition for sale. It has been garage kept for its entire life and I put new 48v lithiums in it this past October. It is street legal with blinkers, mirrors and tail lights. LED light package and speakers as well.

It’s in your price range and if you are interested I can send you some pics.

Years ago I would have said electric, but just before I got out of the Air Force I roomed with a guy who’s hobby was buying stuff off Facebook marketplace fixing it up and reselling.

When i lived with him he bought a gas golf cart that threw a rod. We completely rebuilt that engine and it was VERY easy. The engines are so simple, anyone can work on them just using YouTube videos. It was also very quiet. I like that the engine only runs while your foot is on the gas.

At some point I will buy one for the same purpose as you and will go gas.

Gas Club Car Precedent with the Subaru EFI engine here. It must get 100MPG because I ride back roads every evening in the summer in it and the 5 gallon gas tank last several months! It can do 25MPH comfortably (I still have the governor on it too) and has been rock solid reliable. Highly recommended

I have both and I like how quiet my electric is. Depends on the situation but flat ground in a neighborhood I’d go electric although I have not heard a lot of the newer gas ones. My gas has a v-twin motor and idles like a car and can be loud. I take my electric around at night and hunting. If you get a electric look into lithium batteries. I’m getting an extreme team lithium for my cart. I plan to be able to go 70miles or more on a charge with it.

Get a used electric cart. Places buy 3 yr old carts from golf courses then rebody them, along with other options. Our town is full of them. Sure beats driving the car just to go three blocks or so.

For strictly subdivision use go electric.
But if it it to be used for anything else I'd go gas.

Nothing sucks more than running out of power in the damn thing

Since I drive mine out to the hunting stand and such I still want electric. While I agree 100% being able to just add gas and go is really nice, they both have their place. Cost is the main negative with lithiums IMO but everything else is better than led acid. One thing being it takes 1/2 the time to charge. You can also convenience charge (few min/hr here and there) without messing up the batteries like led acid. They don't have to go through a finishing process.

Phone kinda exaggerates how bright it is but it is pretty bright at night.

Ive gone an entire week without charging my 100A-hr lithium’s. Anywhere from light to moderate usage of the cart for 7 straight days. Still had 20% charge on the batts.

The Li technology is truly incredible.

Another advantage that hasn’t been discussed is the weight savings. I have a Yamaha Drive G2. With the lithium’s, I can push the cart with one hand very easily. It’s so much lighter.

Tons of them. Sits at 52v (a little more power) and does not have the voltage sag like led acid. Meaning when you stop gas or go up a hill the volts don't drop to mid 40s up to 48v, it stays at 52 (more power). NO watering. Smaller physical size (look at extream teams 100ah)

the little town I grew up in has passed some ordinance so the boomers can ride around on the streets in their golf carts, so long as its tagged with the local parish office. Anyway, so my parents bought a plain Jane battery one and its ok, but not fun to ride really. My Buddy has a gas one with a 6" lift and its awesome to ride. His goes alot faster than my parents electric one and you can actually take off the path to a degree.
