Sorry for your loss.
It’s been a little over a year to suddenly lose my dad as well. I think of him daily, and am glad he didn’t have to deal with COVID bs. Which he would have ignored on every front.

Sorry, man. I had a good chuckle at that monkey on his shoulder. Covid is no joke.

Funny thing is he told me that right after the pic was taken the monkey bit the chit out of his finger. LOL
In all honesty at 84, with his Vietnam injuries and other medical conditions as of late, the regular flu would probably have been the last straw.
One positive is that his Presidential citation Mom was presented with is signed by Trump and not the cheating, lying POS that unfortunately may wind up in the White House.

Still haven't ever heard of a better tournament sack off of Eufaula than the one he weighed in to win an MBAA (Redman?) State championship in mid August (late 80's,90'?)
7 fish limit back then....he weighed 6 that went just over 43 lbs.
Number 7 broke off at the boat and Pops said it was a 10 plus.....easily.
I stand corrected on this. While Mom and I were just going through Pop's wallet I found a copy of his certified catch from that day.
6 fish for 46 lbs 2 oz.
Big fish was a 9 lb 6 oz. ;)
