How big of a pine tree is needed for a double man ladder stand?

I'd recommend one that is big enough you can't wrap your arms around it.
Pine trees sway with the wind. Even the big ones. I prefer a hardwood if it is an option.

Ive had to use 8" pulpwood pines before and it works fine until the wind blows...
Bigger is better and oaks work better that pines.
That said, I dont usually use the double ladders for 2 people, i just like the extra space for backpack and stuff.
