Granted it wasn't the best of days here but the lack of ducks in this part of the marsh is beyond alarming.
Opening day meant easy limits of grays Now, Im hoping for just one more shot.

The nets are up

Here w foot3

Let a couple doe leave early this morning Then a button came by. The boy has an itchy finger. So next one seen is getting shot.

Foot2 about half a mile away w Mom. They haven’t beat one another yet, that I know if, so that is a win. He had a small buck chasing and grunting so he was pumped

Wind is kicking up. Haven’t heard a single shot

First time he has ever shot one without me over his shoulder.

Wasted our time in Hopedale this morning. Needed more than 2 Thermacells though. We saw way more birds than last weekend but they acted like they have been shot at for months now. Saw a good bit of big flocks up high coming with this front but we worked hard to shoot 2 ducks today.

3 man limit in Johnson Bayou in under an hour. It’s the most teal and greys I’ve seen in the marsh in 15 years. It was a sight to behold. Can only hope the season continues to be that good

I’ve had nothing on camera in weeks planning to slip into an oak flat mid morning, but for now I’m gonna wait for the pigs that have been rooting under my feeder. Rut is on, so you never know.

Love it when a plan comes together
