so I have "researched" everyone's suggestions in this thread and I'll be damned if you can't make a case for all of them. likely not a coyote imo bc the jaw is definitely mature and its too small to be a coyote. but I've personally seen a few coyotes in this same spot I found the jaw bone.

I also think it could be a possum also,.

that little patch of white hair that on the tip of the chin too.
