Tent blind on a large field
I was watching this small buck across the field, and when i look over to my left i see a 9pt right by me. He was at 20 yards. Came right up to the decoy I set up (first time using one by the way). I quickly drew back and he saw me and spooked. Ran a little bit and stopped. I guessed that he was about 40 yards now so put my 40 yard pin on him and rushed a shot. He ducked and the artow soared a foot over his back. Looking back now I think he was only 30 yards away and thats why I shot over him. This was my first bow miss. Shitty feeling. But atleast it was a clean miss.

Got a goodun down.
I was sitting in a ground blind facing a funnel between a cypress brake and some soybeens. Ol' boy walked in at about 15yrd looking away when I slipped an arrow in him. Not a PB but a good deer for NE Miss nonetheless.

Hunted the lease down toward freshwater city. We had 6 ducks Saturday and 3 today. Most people I talked to around gueydan and thornwell were pretty slow. Where are all the ducks Larry Reynolds was talking about?
