Just got busted by a doe at 10 yards. Guess that's why I shouldn't be hunting the ground. Not sure what to do. She didn't make any noise, just ran. I have to leave at 12:30, so I'm thinking of walking around. Was hoping a buck would trail her, so I'm still sitting for now.

Ended up seeing two does running across field. They got to Creek line, farted around, then sprinted back across.
Scrapes in Canton are being kept fresh and seeing a few new ones here and there. Think it's still pre - rut but haven't seen the first sign of chasing.

I've seen a bunch of big scrapes and a few rubs, no bucks except the little fellas.

Saw a bunch of does, a spike and a 4 pointer. All within 50 yards or less. I was going to pop the 4 pointer, but just didn't feel like messing with it. Very easy shot with my pistol.
Put my daughter in the right spot. She had a 6 or 8 pointer like to run her over. She missed at 10'.

Pickle I haven't personally but our club killed 2 last night and 2 this am. Know of 2 other bucks taken in last 24 hours within a few miles if our place so yes I believe they are doing it or starting to.
