I did the same, 36V Li Time with BT. Although not much use on it yet. It came with the new charger.
Still have cranking and house lead acid on their own charger.

There will be a noticeable decline in quality. However you don’t need telos quality just to see heat when walking to your stand.
Pulsar also has the axion monoculars. Smaller and cheaper than the telos. The XQ30 or XG35 will be all you need.
There are plenty other cheaper thermal options out there but not all thermals of the same price are equal. Plenty of Chinese sensors and cheap parts in these no name / new companies out there.

No idea but they clearly have a thriving business out of it. I've never paid for a guided thermal hunt and i don't live in that area. As asked by the Op, all i did was suggest a place near-by that has a good reputation.
I am not a thermal outfitter but i thermal hunt more than most and im am constantly getting asked by complete strangers to tag along with me. Im sure i could put a pretty hefty price tag on it. I've had people, unprovoked, buy a $2500 thermal thinking that would allow them to come with me.

Sandy Creek Outfitters. Its about 2 hrs south of CS. Owner is good people and some of his staff is on our thermal hunting prostaff team. They have a healthy hog population.
With the prerelease run up, does anyone think it will be a sell the news event when FID is released?
Can’t help on boat batteries in cold because my boat lithium is only a week old however I do have an electric (72v lithium) dirt bike that I thermal hunt with. I’ve hunted in sub 32 temps plenty of times. Battery performance was likely slightly decreased but hardly noticeable. My hunting buddy’s bike gives him an error beep/code when it’s below 32 but it still works. Mine has always functioned as normal.

It’s not my GMC but a friend of mine. His issues were for the turbo failing, catalytic converter failing, a valve was stuck causing motor to over heat and shut down. All issues related to the emissions system

I had a ‘13 5.0 that I traded in with 250k miles. Never had any issues.
Currently have a ‘21 3.5 ecoboost with 92k miles. No issues yet. The 3.5 can run circles around my 5.0 in regards to towing.
A buddy of mine has the gmc 3.0 diesel 2023 and it’s spent 6 months in the shop so far. Another buddy with the same truck seems to have no issues. The 3.0 is amazing with mpg which is very tempting if they can iron out the ongoing issues

The telos XP50 monocular will have the same image and can be bought w/o LRF. The telos is literally 1/2 of a binocular
Id get the Merger XP50 binos or telos XP50 mono. Superior imagery for gathering cool footage. The XT50 is great but i find its not as crisp as the XP which is crazy because the sensor resolution is 2x the XP. I guess is an algorithm issue
Also, the merger NXP50 is a thermal / digital day time combo. you can expland your footgate to digial daytime imagery too.
Pulsar merger series. Your budget will be your limitation.

Yall go check out Infected Outdoors I’m part of that team and it’s all thermal hunting with footage we get. I’m the only Louisiana guy but the channel is based out of Texas

My boat is 9 years old and this year I’ve installed my 3rd transducer. I’ve never had them go out like this but it is electronic so it happens. The first two would lose bottom (3 dashes) randomly then catch bottom then on then off. Didn’t matter water depth or anything else. Before this started they worked 100% of the time - stationary, idle and WOT.
My first two were cheap basic lowrance transducers. The new one is a 3-1 sidescan/downscan so hopefully it lasts longer.
Make sure you have 100% power shut off via perko switch. It if is pinging on cement it can damage them - so I’ve heard.

Could be. Clean the gun and try again. Might be a gas issue or simply your setup doesn’t like those.

I shoot about 2000 rounds of this a year, 75gr. No issues. Very accurate. My hunting buddy shoots the same but 68gr
What grain are you shooting? We built the same gun and mine didn’t chamber the 68gr very well so I went to 75 and it’s perfect.
Is the gun new?

There’s always an excuse to find lol I noticed this trend when I forget to turn on the scope before getting to the range.
That’s good but there is one issue with that. Make sure you have the scope on for 5-10 minutes (longer if it’s colder) before shooting. I’ve noticed that the thermal sensor needs to heat up or it will be off zero some until it heats up. Might not matter at close range but 200yds and out it will matter. When I say off zero I mean the grouping will be 2” at 100yds instead of 1” until it warms up. You have to remember you are dealing with digital optic.

All thermions take the same aps 3/2 batteries. Pulsar is proud of that system and it isn’t going away anytime soon. That older XG50 will go through batteries faster than the new models so you definitely need them.
When I say the xg50 is a turd, I mean in respect to other pulsar models. It's still way above lesser brands like agm, atn and other cheap scopes that people buy because they are cheap.
