What are you selecting under advanced options under rastor? Are you moving each at5 file out of bound files?

Yes I did keyhole. I would think that since I chose z19 folder and the resolutions then build which took about 2 hrs I had to of built something. Do you y’all have a specific way you create a folder for the working directory?

I also tried the save as under file and it saves it as a .sap file says it 1KB could that be it?

Nev. mind 1KB couldn’t be a large enough file. I’m at a loss on this. SO CLOSE BUT YET SO FAR! HAHA

Well I’m back. My youngest ended up with pneumonia so I had to put the mapping on hold. She’s better now so I’m back at it. I completed everything and moved the files to the sd card. When I select insight under chart options the screen goes to white blank screen. I can still see my previous routes showing up from the last couple of trips I made. I have selected shaded relief and can see the files in the card. Any thoughts? One thing I did notice was one folder of my at5 files said bound and the other said unbound. But I wouldn’t think at leas some of the files would show up. Thanks

it needs to say bound. chart source needs to be lowrance. not insight. not navionics. Files need to be in a folder named "shaded relief" just rename the bound.at5 folder to this.

I have a Simrad go series. Only options for chart source are demo, Navionics, insight.
My 15z say bound and the 19z say unbound. Any indies on how that can happen? I did same exact steps on both maps when creating them.

Ive never had an issue with simrad units. All i can say is that something happened during the creation process (ive seen "unbound" when i stopped it before it was finished)

Yea that’s my luck. It prolly screwed up on the larger one that takes a long time. Haha. I’m just gonna load the 15z and see if I can get something to show up. I’d like to make sure I’m atleast doing something right!

Thanks everybody who helped me through this process. I am now up and running! Sea pickle after I redid the build process the files showed up as bound. So I think that was my problem. Now to the next step, optimizing my settings. I have Simrad Go7xse, any pointers on which settings work best with the card? I only played with it for a minute before I had to leave for work but For example, I noticed some things showing up off the base map like vector marsh grass etc. would like to get rid of that type of stuff. Once again a big thanks to y’all!

did you happen to use a Mac computer? I cant seem to get it to work on a Mac and work computer dont allow me to download the required software.

I have been playing with the settings to clean up the view. I can see best when I turn the water icon off. But when I do this I loose all the names of the bays, bayous, etc. any suggestions? If I can figure out how to get the blue water shading to go away and the names to stay I’ll be one happy lip ripper! What I tried so far:
Changing the shading of the water(for some reason it won’t let me adjust it)
Photo transparencey(won’t let me adjust)
Clicking and unclicking every chart option one at a time(no luck)

Some of you are a lot more tech savvy than I am. So I want to purchase a card but don’t want to pay for what I am reading is a crappy product. Any chance I can link up with one if y’all and get a card. I know it’s illegal to sell them right. So in that case you can just give your old OB buddy one. Along with a pencil. Make sure it’s one of those nice number 2pencils though bc I’m willing to pay good cash for one of those. If so email me at geauxtigers1958@yahoo.com

So i have decided to upgrade my unit to either lowrance or simrad and will be making my own card after reading this thread.

How did you get the names of all the bays and bayous?
I’m in the process of downloading the Arcgis imagery but it doesn’t look like any body of water is labeled.
