For the record, no one that I know personally has ever been bitten while free-handling.

When will you start wearing khaki and add wrasslin gators/crocs to your hobbies?

It’s amazing to me how attractive old tin on the ground is for snakes. Boards, old appliances, etc. yield a few, but a tin pile in the country is way more productive. I know of a bunch of half buried tin from a collapsed shed on a high point in the woods in Monroe county Alabama that is home to more black racers and canebrakes than any other place I’ve seen. I don’t even have to flip there. Just wait for the day to warm up and they come out.

Semantics, one of your boys got bit on the leg trying to show off a rattlesnake. How much did that go fund me raise again?

Completely false. He was taking a couple from his church in their first herping outing. They stopped for a turtle on the road. He spotted a tree with loose bark and walked over to check for scarlet kings behind the bark. He didn’t see the Eastern diamondback (they are very well camouflaged) and it didn’t rattle. It tagged him in the leg. He didn’t show it off until after it bit him.

What ever happened to that guy that was live streaming and he got bit by one of the most dangerous snakes in the world and he was begging people for some anti venom? Seems like I read a story on here about that.

Tomato tomahto my arse. Huge difference between being bitten “showing off a rattlesnake” and being bitten by a snake you weren’t aware of like any hiker or hunter can be bitten by.

His Go Fund Me raised around $35k. He has 1.7 million followers who enjoy watching his herping videos. They appreciate the risks associated with that. Just like when a professional dirt bike rider has a crash and sustains serious injuries - fans are happy to support them.

Yeah I think it was an inland taipan, and he’s a nutcase who was free-handling but not safe free-handling (huge difference). Think he’s pretty much fine now but his kidneys are shot. If he’s not already on lifetime dialysis I’m sure he will be. Probably some lingering issues with other organs.

Had a cool triple flip today in North La. - flipped one piece of tin, saw a grey rat snake bolting, and just as I was about to grab it I spotted 2 canebrake rattlers next to it under the same tin.

If he has that many followers, why did he need a go fund me? Did he have insurance? Isn’t this handle an alter? Didn’t you use to have a handle that had moto in it?

You sure do ask a lot of irrelevant questions. Take your witch hunt elsewhere.

…and no, it’s not an alter. I switched accounts almost 10 years ago and it was never a secret.

I honestly don’t see how any of that is your business.

Nope, it’s a milk snake. They look very similar, though the bellies look different.
