I got my leather NWTF turkey boots last year for under 100 bucks and just grabbed a nice pair of grange lightweight rubber boots in a good camo pattern for 72 bucks.

Hmmm. I love mine. Two pairs, 15 years between the two, one 10+ years.
They last.
They last.

If that doesn’t pull them all up go to clearance section

I've been doing good to get 2 years out of their knee boots and hip boots. They are noticeably lower quality than years ago.

Have you found any alternatives to try yet? I think im going to try academy magellins next.
I don't coon hunt or trap or run dogs anymore. A pair of hip boots should last me AT LEAST 5 years, especially for what they cost.
So frustrating too, because lacrosse has by far the best ankle fit out of any rubber boot. They never pull off.

Sad to hear. I’ll keep mine until they fail. The fit is the best part and I’d probably still buy them anyway just for fit.

I keep buying them because they fit so good and keep cussing the leaks.
Every year we have someone spring a leak on the virgin trip of a new pair. So damn frustrating.

It’s fit for me. I use Mucks when I know I am going into the swamp

quote:have not. I had a pair rip like paper when folding them down a few years ago, emailed them about quality concerns, they offered like $25 off a new pair. It’s a shame.

I’ve had three pairs of Muck boots in the same 17 years that I’ve had one pair of Lacroose. They do indeed last

Love mine but the heels fell off this year and are all cracked. About 4 years old.
More comfortable than my Muck boots

I stopped buying Lacrosse boots because I barely get 2 hunting seasons out of them.

Are these cheap knock-offs of "LaCrosse" boots?

My dad doesn't like ankle tight hip boots so he bought a new pair of magellans and so far they have lasted a year. He had a small leak in his Lacrosse hip boots at the seam and sprayed it with flex seal and it stopped the leak.

quote:Trying the Xtratuf legacy now, they're more expensive $150 for the wide calf, but my last pair of grange looked like tree bark they were so dry rotted.

The models they have on sale are pretty disappointing.

I got a pair of Alpha Agility for Christmas and they’re way more comfortable than the Granges I’ve worn for 40yrs.
