Im about 5 miles down Lower Centerville Rd. Im use to hunting West Feliciana Parish. People always said they saw bucks chasing earlier but the first two weeks of January were consistent every year. Wasn't sure if it was maybe a little earlier up in the Centerville area

It's closed right now for hunting season but will open in March. If you enjoy pistol shooting, we would love to have you!

That sounds good. I just bought a Ruger Charger that I will be itching to shoot. Do you live up that way?

No. I live in Denham Springs but drive up there twice a month when we shoot. We have matches on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month and are closed Sept till March. We have a lot of members in the southern Miss. area and a few from La. I'm sure you would know some of them. Mostly all pistol shooters. We shoot NRA Action Pistol (Bianchi setup) and love new shooters.

I hunted Gloster for several years and the first week of january is when we always started seeing bucks. Now I'm in a few miles further north in Roxie and the 5th-15th is when we kill 80% of our bucks.

Thought i might bring this one back as i am looking at some property north of Liberty. Looks fairly wooded with some pasture and chicken houses mixed in. Any good bucks regularly taken in this area?
