Looks like a 40 foot container to Miami is 3500. 20 foot obviously less.

Hey my neighbor runs international shipping or something like that, or used too. He is an LSU Saints fan, they have a bunch of coolers. ?? So does the guy that owns the docks. I know at least 3 high schools that would buy them for their graduates, so that’s like 300-400.
Could easily sell 1000 or 2000 around Mobile.

I was supposed to get a few but I think that was the second round, which was kind of a cluster frick. You had to meet at a parking lot at certain times etc and I could never do it.

You guys need to post some pics of them now. Those yeti types are great but I always left mine on the boat. They they the bomb for under seat color. But way too fricking heavy to drag around

from what I've seen of Tut postings, my business ventures would be limited to a lemonade stands and nothing more.

I ordered 7 of them in all sizes and different colors. I pre-paid, and was one of the first 20 or so people to get in and send the money.

First load comes in and somehow everybody in New Orleans cleans out the container. I got nothing.

Second load comes in, my buddy (who 2 of the coolers were for) goes to New Orleans on the day it's supposed to clear customs and it doesn't get out of customs for another day or so. He comes back empty handed. We were pissed and he keeps telling me how it's a scam and that we got ripped off.

When it finally cleared the port some coolers get unloaded in NO, then BR and the rest get on a truck and make it up to Ridgeland.

I was so stressed that I was getting fricked, I woke up the next morning, took off work, and was knocking on NC's front door of his house at 7 am.

He was still half asleep and like, "Are we really doing this?"

I go, "Yep."

And the 2 of us bright and early, both slightly hungover I believe, went through the container to piece my order together. He was short one white 90, so he gave me a 110 instead.

The time from initial investment until I took possession of the coolers had to be close to a year.

Moral of the story, it was pretty sketch, but it worked out and I got my coolers.

Similar story without me meeting him at his house. I ended up in Lafayette, in Crowley, and BR looking for mine before I was able to collect mine.

That story sounds like a good reason to not buy coolers from China from some guy I don't know over the internet.......Also sounds like a good reason to not buy coolers from China to sell to a guy I don't know over the internet.

I had ordered a bunch then had people turn on me that gave me their money since it took so long. NC eventually refunded me so he's okay in my book. Tough thing to put together so props.

But in the end, it worked.

NC always responded to back channel emails I was sending him.

To break it down some more, I was a very early initial investor, I think $400 or so for 7 coolers. When he explained enough had been purchased in the NO area to empty the first container I understood the idea to unload it there and not pay unnecessary trucking cost to make sure people got coolers in the order they were paid for. Fine. That makes sense.

The next, or it may have even been the 3rd load, my buddy goes down for the meet up on the day it was supposed to happen. We're from Shreveport, so it wasn't exactly a hop, skip and a jump, but he had business down in NO the day before so he stayed an extra day to pick up. It still didn't clear for another day or two.

After emailing NC that we went out of our way to get someone down there, he gave me his home address and told me I could come to his place if I wanted. That's when I took off down I-20 and went to his place. Beautiful home by the way, and he was a nice dude. I know it had to be overwhelming with all of the orders, deliveries, emails from assholes like me.

Like I said, in the end, it worked.

To NC!!!

I was supposed to get mine from the 2nd shipment but there was some logistical issues with that one and by the time I got to the warehouse in BR that he was giving them out from he had none of the ones I ordered left. So I had to wait for the 3rd shipment and I met NC at a rec park in Ponchatoula and got mine and another Slidell OB'ers order there.

NC was always good with his communication and I never felt like I was gonna lose my investment. Just took some time for him to get a delivery system all worked out, with the demand that he had.

Those were the good ole days of the OB, for sure!
