Let me guess, you live close to New Orleans?

Had no issues. I got them from him up in Ridgeland. I've gotten over half a dozen and turned on a couple of friends to him as well. My nephew is 18 and works construction. He wanted one. Only one NC had left was a pink one and oh yeah, I got it for him. Hehehehehehe.

Knucklehead and his sisters put watermelon and watermelon seed stickers on it. He said since it is pink, no one tries to steal it.

Same, I believe the Chuck E Cheese was the OG meet up. Got there early and could pick out the random OBers in cars scattered around the parking lot looking sketchy.

As soon as NC turned in, cars filled in line behind the box truck to see where he was going to post up and distribute. Pretty funny to sit back and think about. Went pretty smooth.

First load comes in and somehow everybody in New Orleans cleans out the container. I got nothing.

When the first container came in, the first pickup i recall was at a loading dock in Baton Rouge. I drove from Lafayette to get mine and to pick up a couple others for other baws who also put money in the first container. It was seamless and simple.

The entire venture was fun. It began with those wacky pics of the chick in China, and when the container was at sea NC gave us the registration number of the container ship so we could track that container all the way in to port. I would put up cash again in a heartbeat.

I still have my 3. Used one of them this weekend for fridge and freezer items.

I had to drive to Memphis to pick mine up, but it was worth it and I got to meet a great OBer in person, so good times all around.

I drove to New Orleans from Lafayette after work for the first shipment and picked up mine and UncleJackD's with no issues.

ETA: I said NO, could have been BR. I don't remember. I just remember it was the first shipment

I am not in any way, shape or form voluntarily offering to be in charge of any of this shite, no way worth the hassle to me personally. I will definitely buy some coolers this time and can help sell a few hundred.

I am just saying it can be done, after the longshoreman’s strike is over, and I know people than can do it, and groups that will buy them.

Any venture into China is risky, even knowing the owners of the shipping company and docks. The Chinese can shut it down anytime, the products can suck or kill you and there isn’t shite u can do about it since they aren’t full signature members of the hauge connvention.

The original guy was in the timber construction industry and obviously had experience in shipping containers from China with wood products.

This would be a cool project for Chicken to have team color Tiger Rant coolers, and just give them out at games.

Don’t know. The OB Special was the last roto cooler I bought. I’d like to know the answer myself

I think I got mine from the 2nd or 3rd shipment. Whichever one ended up in Mississippi. Was planning on driving down, and another poster here said he was also from Birmingham and offered to get my single one since he had ordered a few. Drove by his house one morning and he had left it on the bed of his truck for me to grab. The pig nose feet are still my favorite part of the story, and the pictures from the factory.

I literally rolled up to the warehouse in BR, some little handsome frick in front of me says... Coolers, for homeytheclown. I laughed at the absurdity of it all.

Dropped a hundo in the donation grill. Grabbed all of mine, brought them back to the office on bluebonnet and dispersed them amongst the guys.

He was a stand up gent. I almost immediately and stupidly sold my big one for a profit. The 37 has been riding in my vehicle full of ice since then. That was years ago

This brings back great memories. I got two coolers in the deal. It was amazing how long that thread stayed up until it was finally shutdown.

That was Farad I believe.

Took a pic at that warehouse. Made sure to not get anyone in the photo lest they be outed as TD members. Epic OB meetup.
