the feeling the PMAG craze is slowing.

If by slowing...you mean all distributors are cancelling their $10 orders and replacing them with new $20 orders, then yes it is slowing.

Demand is still stupid absurd. Distributors realized that there was more money to be had by cancelling all the $10 orders and fricking people. Well, here we are getting fricked and still trying to buy them....The only thing that may remotely get banned in legislation is hi-cap mags...so take the risk if you want, I remember the Clinton Era Ban. It Sucked.

Yeah some of the distributors suck, but mags that were selling on Gunbroker for $40-50 recently are nowhere near that level now. I saw one auction today with a $20 / mag price with no bids and only a few hours to go. At some point the market becomes saturated.

Generally they slow down a lot over the weekend. PK will probably get fired up again around 4 or 5am monday morning.

Over the weekend you can check your area stores again

Arms Merchant is the only place I know of in the Mandeville area and they are usually very expensive.

Got you.

I'm already getting pretty antsy about getting a stripped lower. A day and a half of refreshing is pretty annoying.

They had some PMag's available earlier for $20 each and some people got a shipping and still haven't received their shipping notice from 6 weeks ago when they ordered for $10 each. Although there was a debate whether the one's today were Gen 2 or Gen 3.

If I'm building a dedicated .22 AR I wouldn't think twice about a polymer, but .223/5.56 or larger I wouldn't do it. Just my opinion. Google polymer AR lower and find some reviews. I think there may be some Youtube vids for them also.

I was told to avoid it.

I'm starting to consider it though. Probably isn't any different.

After I secure a lower, then I'll start asking some questions about uppers. I know nothing really

TTT, I was always told to avoid poly lowers unless It was for a 22LR upper.

Hmmmmm

I sold my Mossberg .22 tactical. I may want to look into building a tactical .22 rather than AR since I already have my AK and don't feel like dealing with .223 ammo

So building a .22LR AR is basically the same as regular AR? Stripper lower, lower parts kit, then .22 complete upper?
