You bought a DDM4 for the same price as you got for your M&P 15? Good trade!

Wow, shite. I wish I was ready to buy that right now. I don't know any FFL details and haven't fully committed on dropping 500+ yet.

Yup. 450 is the lowest price I've seen for a .22 upper. That's why I think I'm gonna just build a 300 blackout instead.

Just the upper? PK and Midway have been killing it with the SBRs

No, I need the whole shite... Lower, upper, lpk, bcg... It'll be a while.

I plan on buying a piece here and there and having it built by end of year.

CMMG uppers are $300-400

CMMG uppers cost more than that before SH. They are hard to get. I lucked up and bought one from Midway a couple of weeks ago when the had them in stock for about $67 shipped. But they are going on GB for $650-$700

V7. I plan on selling that rail and getting an omega rail from DD.

That was just the conversion kit, not the complete upper. No way they were on midway for $67 bucks.

Naa man, lot of uppers being posted come with all of that included. But no interest in SBRs?

I don't think, I'm a pretty big dude. 16" is plenty short for me.

How hard is it to assemble a lower receiver? I recently purchased an M&P15 lower with a CMMG parts kit. I have a guy that can do it for me but would like to learn to do it myself.

My padnuh put his first lower together today and said it was tedious but not that challenging. Hardest part was trigger and bolt release he said.

There's a ton of videos and guides out there. AR15.com has a good step by step.

I have the DDM4 V5 with the 12 inch M4 rail...but I actually like the modular rail on the V7, it shaves a couple of ounces of weight. The Omega rail is definitely nice though.

The weight is verrrry nice. I may end up falling in love with it and saying to hell with a $350 omega.

I may just try to assemble it at my buddy's house with him overseeing.

Glad I found this thread. I'm an admitted AR newbie and am now realizing I overpaid for some of my purchases. Great resource.
