Anybody ever tried building a clone M4?
Range buddy of mine was just gifted a clone correct M4 stripped upper reciver and doesn't know what to with it. Its a Mueller Forge with a dog bone insignia on the front above the barrel threads.
He says it's a military M4 upper and that they're semi-rare. I have no clue.
Anybody know what kind of parts kit and barrel/BCG combobhe should get to be at least close to an M4?

Wilson combats adjustable gas block is made by SLR for what it’s worth. Great blocks. I’m running several of them.

Thanks, Never knew that. I don't know why those aren't more popular. They seem to be the best design on the market and as well as one of the toughest. Also the easiest to adjust. You only need a flathead screwdriver.

Yeah I love them. Great design, super tough, and very lightweight. I am a bit of a SLR homer but I think their stuff is great.

I got my trigger and the receiver set in but still waiting on the handguard to come in from builders set. I need to install trigger but it seems extremely high quality. I’ve been slacking on this build. This B-30 receiver set feels incredible in hand. Definitely worth the premium in my opinion.
Also still waiting on the B-15 set to come in from them.

Color isn’t exactly what I was looking for but from everything I read online it’s the closest cerakote to DD mil spec+ brown.

That patriot brown set above is getting triggertech AR10 adaptable.

Nope. Companies aren't going to put much R&D in when half of them can barely supply the sustained demand of the last 2 yrs anyway. I honestly don't see why some really established companies like KAC would even show up. Hell, they don't have anything in stock anyway.

Because it has become primarily a marketing and media event. Very little dealer level business is done here anymore. There were a number of companies, from largest to smallest, that pulled out of SHOT show this year.
