Heads up if anyone needs a good cheap beater AR. You can get the PSA mid-length 16" build kit (blem) for $399 today and a stealth lower for $49. That's $450 for a 16" mid-length rifle with Magpul furniture and MBUS sights, polished trigger, and a nice rail.
- Build kit
- Stripped lower
Will end up like this:

That looks fun. Signing up for their email blasts was a terrible financial decision.

The cz shadow 2 for $899 yesterday was a legit deal.

I wish I had known about the sale. That's a great price

They went up $50 from Monday. I agree about the email bombardment.

Good Afternoon to the AR Thread.
I assembled a 10.5” 50 Cal Beowulf this past weekend (All new parts). Picked up a H3 Buffer (5.5oz) and ran it with a Red enhanced spring. Pushed nine rounds out of it and noticed it was very inconsistent where it was ejecting cases. Is this common for a break in period -OR- am I missing something?
One last note. After those 9 rounds, I opened the buffer tube and the hard plastic end of the buffer was shattering off pieces. Swapped it with one of the white, soft plastic ends, but haven’t ran it since.

May want to look at an adjustable gas block for something like that.

I'd say adjustable gb or adjustable bcg? Never seen a buffer shatter though

First I've seen it too. The tip was a hard yellow plastic and chunks of it were shattering off.

I have a feeling the new buffer is going to crack

Brownells just dropped the DD MK18 upper for $799. Missing Bolt and CH though.
They could at least throw in an A2 flash hider.

If anyone here is a Colt collector Arms Unlimited has "European" 6920s for $900. I like how all the parts are marked Colt and just not the barrel and BCG.

Was it old and dried out?

I almost built my own but came across a ruger sfar 308 with a 20 inch stainless steel barrel.
Watching videos on YouTube, I’m still confused on the adjustable gas block. Supposedly setting two is for 308 but every video someone says something different. Even the manual isn’t clear.
Buying a scope tomorrow and shooting it for the first time this weekend.

Did you buy it?

No, it was brand new. The tip wasn’t a soft PTFE type material, it looked like the stuff that mosquito was trapped in on Jurassic Park. Hard, transparent, yellow plastic.
I guess I need to measure the buffer tube to make sure I didn’t order some kind of weird “blem” shite.
