I told my wife last night that when she gets pregnant, I'm going to drop her off at her Mom's, and I'm going to hike the AT.

Was climbing some rocks and was getting yelled at by 3 or 4 baby turkey vultures (or buzzards?) in a small den. They were ferocious and hissed when I got close. These things are huge! Like foot and half tall and wider than a basketball. I think this was in New York.

Ive read not many people even attempt it every year.
I'll have to check out that PCT doc. Have seen a video on the first people to ever do the whole trail (on horseback) on PBS which was pretty cool.
