I wish everyone that did this would be charged with terrorizing or at least disturbing the peace.Walking around with a sport, assault, high capacity clipped, black scary gun and alarming a bunch of people to the point hat they feel the need to alert police is fricking retarded.
bullshite. People need to learn to mind their own fracking business like they used to. If its not guns its umbrellas, baseball bats and all kinds of other bullshite people want to call police for these days.
Better yet lets call police on campus for everyone wearing backpacks because there could be pressure cookers in them.

Regardless of how legal it is, going to the mall with an AR on your back is fricking stupid. Grats on making yourself an extremely appealing first victim if you wanna be tactical about it.

I completely agree.
I don't want these guys on our side. They make us all look crazy.

Im glad these morons get stopped. Its a "hey look at me! I have a gun" stupid, however IMO you have to be a little f'ed in the head to think its not ok to get stopped when carrying an AR in public. if I were an LEO i would stop anyone carrying an AR.

I agree with this for sure. I respect your right to carry it but you also have to understand the complete absence of gun law understanding among commoners.
What's funny to me is that while open carry becomes less frequent, concealed carry is becoming more frequent. But the funny thing is, the average person still doesn't realize people are armed around them anywhere in public.

I guess it speaks more to the assumed mindset of a Rambo who walks around with a gun strapped to his side.

How about going to a gas station on Plank Rd, while white?
How about walking around rural TX?
The words "shall not be infringed" are part of the 2nd Amendment. Nowhere in there does it say anything about "except where statist metrosexuals and women become frightened" last time I checked.
Cops aren't hassling open carry guys to protect anybody but themselves. The most common violent actors use concealed, illegal handguns. Rifles, being difficult to conceal, are hard to use for nefarious purposes compared to handguns.
And yes, I agree with those who correctly state that civilians, by and large, are prohibited from owning assault rifles.
We own sporting rifles.
Modern muskets.
.gov doesn't like it because they, like most owners of sporting rifles, understand that the repeating rifle was one of the most important technology advances, in terms of individual weapons, of all time.
They don't want people with repeating rifles who can resist their full installation of tyranny.
Every tyrannical government in the 20th century banned civilians, in large part, from owning defensive weapons. Right before they began their democide campaigns. Source: LINK
This government would love to ban repeating rifles with standard capacity magazines, and some states already have. In the name of public safety.
That's bullshite. And thinking, literate, and historically aware people know it.
Unfortunately the former sentence does not describe the average gun-fearing American urban/coastal zone dweller.
jpfo.org has some good facts and articles for those who doubt the necessity of citizens right to own repeating rifles.
No one wishes to live in a society where open carry of rifles is necessary. But some areas are so racist and so hateful, that some people might be safer if they did.
See Mother's Day beating at Plank Rd gas station.
If you don't want to open carry, then don't. But it's none of your GD business if I do. And you have no right to put a government gun to my head to force me to behave like YOU want - intimidation by proxy is a classic statist tactic.

hold up bro, doesn't the 2nd Amendment say "the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."? Where does it say "assault rifles"? "Arms" could be anything from a stinger missile to grenade launcher to .22 pistol. If you gave up on that you just opened the door to all regulation.

I think he's pointing out a fact, not voicing his opinion.
